When are dental implants necessary?

Life leaves its mark on teeth. If the healthy tooth substance is no longer sufficient or if a tooth has already fallen out, then a dental implant offers a permanent solution. The implant technique has a suitable solution for many different situations: for the young, fully-grown jaw with individual gaps to the toothless mouth with a total prosthesis in advanced age.

A dental implant is a small “pillar” made of body-compatible pure titanium that replaces the natural tooth root. It is implanted painlessly into the jaw and grows together with the jawbone in a short time. We can then attach crowns, bridges or dentures to this artificial root.

With proper dental care at home, regular dental check-ups and prophylaxis by your implantologist, dental implants ensure lasting satisfaction.

The fixed connection has many advantages. For example, teeth on implants give a more natural feeling than conventional dentures.

Bone augmentation If teeth and jawbone have been lost due to inflammation, cysts, tooth extraction or an accident, the bone can be rebuilt. Bone reconstruction is done with artificial or your own bone material.

If you want to close a gap with an implant, this is often not possible without bone augmentation. In our practice, bone augmentation and implantation are carried out in one session in the vast majority of cases. This is possible due to our many years of experience. You have the advantage that you save time, money and an operation.
