25 years. Patients under 25 years of age can undergo technical surgery, but the result cannot be guaranteed because the hair loss is not yet complete at this age. If the procedure is performed too early, the patient may still lose hair in the non-transplanted area. In such cases, doctors prefer to treat these patients with drugs such as minoxidil or finasteride.
Diagnosis of our medical team focuses on the correct diagnosis of the type of alopecia as well as the correct treatment method for your individual case
In the first few weeks after the operation, the transplanted hair falls out naturally. The hair follicles remain in the scalp and the hair grows again after approx. 2-3 months => phase: anagen phase / completed after 3 months
From the fourth month your new hair will start to grow fully
Hair growth accelerates between the sixth and ninth months and after about ten months the almost final result of the hair transplant is visible
The entire process is completed in around 12 months
Depending on your remaining hair (whether permanent or again)
The transplanted hair is permanently anchored and will never fall out again. If your existing, natural hair continues to fall out, another procedure can be planned.
Avoid alcohol: Consumption of alcohol may reduce the effectiveness of local anesthetics given to you by your doctor before surgery. Avoid Smoking: Smoking reduces blood flow to the scalp.
At least one week before and one week after the operation, we recommend that you avoid smoking, as smoking can lead to narrowing of the blood vessels and poor growth of the transplanted hair.
Take a shower and take care of your personal hygiene. Come to the establishment with a light breakfast. Take a good rest before coming to the hair transplant.
An accompanying person is not allowed in the operating theater.
We will receive your companions in our waiting room. Don’t chew gum and avoid talking too much during the surgery. Avoid using your personal cell phone during surgery.
After the hair transplant operation, you will have a bandage on the donor part and a hair band around your forehead to prevent the swelling on your face. You will see small scabs in the recipient area and small red holes in the donor area that will heal within 15 days.
A few days after the operation, there is seldom swelling on the face and especially around the eyes. In this case, it is best to apply some ice to the swollen area. No special medication is required. The swelling subsides spontaneously after 5 days
Itching is a sign of healing and it is completely normal to experience this feeling 2-3 days after surgery. Do not scratch or pluck the cultivated area. The itching can persist for several days.
A burning sensation may occur 4 days after the operation, especially in the donor area. In this case, it is recommended to apply the moisturizing lotion to the donor site only three to four times a day and wait for absorption.
You should start with post-operative hair washing; the first hair wash may also be carried out in our clinic. We will recommend a shampoo and lotion for you and explain how to wash your hair for the next 15 days. Washing will help remove the scab and aid the healing process.
The transplanted grafts will be stronger and will not fall off from touch. You should avoid scratches. 4-5 days after the operation, the hair in the transplanted area will begin to fall off and this will last for 2-3 months. After that, new permanent hair will begin to grow.
In 12-18 months you will see the final result of your hair transplant surgery. You will get the look of more intense, longer and thicker hair. The end result will be seen 12 to 15 months after the operation in the anterior area and 18 to 20 months in the crown area.
