STEPS OF
The Sapphire FUE Method
The Sapphire FUE method stands for Sapphire Follicular Unit Extraction. The Sapphire blade is a further development of the classic FUE technique. Instead of a razor blade, a sapphire blade is used to open the microchannels. Due to the sapphire blade, the dimensions of the channels are much more uniform, filigree and smaller, so this blade allows a higher number of hair per square centimeter and therefore a better result. This method can be used for hair transplantation as well as beard, mustache and eyebrow transplantation.
The FUE (Sapphire and Micro) technique for hair transplantation
The Sapphire FUE method is not a strip of scalp that is removed or a permanent scar like the old FUT method, but it is an outpatient and minimally invasive surgical procedure. There is no removal of tissue or suturing. Therefore, Sapphire FUE is currently the most advanced method of hair transplantation.
The Sapphire FUE method is characterized by the special way of obtaining the follicular units to be transplanted. This is done with the help of punching or drilling devices (manual or motorized), with which the hair follicles are extracted one by one. This technique prevents scarring and minimizes postoperative problems.
Compared to the classic FUE technique, the blade is made of sapphire. With the new sapphire technique it is possible to create much more delicate, v-shaped channels in which the grafts (hair roots) are inserted. Since these channels are much finer and also smaller, a higher density can be achieved on smaller areas.
The sapphire needles used come in different sizes; these range from 0.7 to 1.5 mm and are selected by the doctor to exactly match the patient’s hair structure. Also, working with this blade, which is particularly hard and smooth, allows the channels to be created at a very individual angle (40-45°). Due to uniformly perfect dimensions of the perfect channels for hair transplantation, maximum acceleration of wound healing is achieved here, preventing inflammation and associated graft loss.
Higher growth rate
- Increase of the growth rate due to canal opening
- Gentle incorporation of the hair roots
- Hair care sets to accelerate the growth rate
- PRP treatment for better blood circulation and strengthening of the hair roots
Higher hair density
- Higher hair density due to higher growth rate
- Denser attachment of the grafts due to the v-shaped channels
- 30% increase in hair density
- Optical increase of hair density due to implantation according to natural hair growth direction
Faster wound healing & reduced scarring
- Maximum acceleration of wound healing
- Additional acceleration of wound healing through enclosed care sets
- Due to the fast wound healing, the freshly transplanted hairs can grow unhindered
